AMA lines up series of events to celebrate 25 years of its campus

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), the city’s most happening hub for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experience, is organising a series of events from August 29 to September 2 to celebrate the 25 years of its existing campus.

AMA was established in 1956 by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the father of the Indian Space Programme, and other leading luminaries. The existing campus at the Management Complex at ATIRA Complex was established in 1997, and it will complete 25 years on August 31.

“AMA has been providing an active learning platform for professionals in Gujarat through various lectures, discussions, management development programmes, industry visits, publications, etc. It has become a thriving hub for furthering knowledge and skills by promoting the exchange of ideas and experiences. The silver jubilee is a special occasion and we have invited distinguished speakers to make the celebrations even more special,” said Deevyesh J Radia, President, AMA.

On Monday, August 29, motivational speaker Gunvatsal Swami will deliver an address on “Universal Wisdom: Values Vs Valuables”, while Branding and communication expert Prof Alan D’souza will speak on “Brand CK Prahalad” on Tuesday, August 30.

D Shivakumar, Group Executive President, Corporate Strategy, Aditya Birla Group, will be the chief guest on Wednesday, August 31, when AMA celebrates 25 years of the campus. He will speak on “Leadership” and felicitate past presidents of AMA on the occasion.

A special programme “In Conversation with Family Members of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai” has been organised on Thursday, September 1, to pay tributes to Dr. Vikram Sarabhai and to remember his vision and contribution to setting up AMA and other prominent institutes.

On Friday, September 2, noted economist and former IIMA faculty, Prof. Ravindra Dholakia will deliver the 17th Dr. RLP Sanghvi Endowment – AMA Annual Lecture on Economics on “Outlook for the Indian Economy: Prospects and Challenges”.
