Crime Branch nabs one with MD drug worth ₹ 18.69 lakh

Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad City Crime Branch yesterday arrested a person named Sharukh Pathan from the Juhapura area with 187 grams of mephedrone (MD) drug on him. After receiving a tip Police inspector P B Desai and his team started surveillance the area.
The accused Pathan is a resident of Himmatnagar. He was traveling to Fatehwadi in a car when he was intercepted. MD worth 18.69 lakh was found with him which he was supposed to deliver in Fatehwadi.
As per the police, Pathan was a driver of a JCB machine and for the past six months, he is consuming mephedrone. Now, he has also begun peddling drugs. He received the drug to be supplied in Fatehwadi, from a Rajasthan resident, Badshah.
The Detection of Crime Branch has registered a case in the NDPS act.
