AAP candidate in Gujarat under scanner of IT and Police over source of cash from Delhi

Bardoli: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Bardoli in Surat district of South Gujarat has come under scanner for a source of Rs. 20 lakh that he was to get from Delhi through Angadiya(courier).
Solanki had approached Bardoli town police station and claimed that Rs. 20 lakh cash looted was his and it was sent from Delhi for election work.
As the sum was big and it had arrived through Angadiya, the Police contacted the Income Tax department following which, the question has been launched to know the source of this sum.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Surat district has handed over the probe into this to the Special Operation Group (SOG). The Income Tax department has started questioning regarding the source of money. Bardoli town police has also questioned the Angadiya pedhi operator.
Meanwhile Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi in reply to a related question, told media persons that the AAP candidate from Bardoli has not paid Income Tax for the last many years. So Rs. 20 lakh from AAP office in Delhi arrived here how and for what purpose and from where exactly and how much sum was sent before this. Such questions should be asked to Bardoli candidate.
The matter is regarding an attempt of theft. A day ago a car was parked near Bardoli police station. Thieves broke its window glass and took away a bag full of cash from inside. A person standing nearby namely Adil Memon saw this and made a video of thieves and chased them. Feared with this, thieves threw away the bag which was collected by Adil Memon and deposited with Bardoli Police. Later it was found that Rs. 41 lakh was ordered from Angadiya. AAP leader told the police that the sum was his.
