BJP fighting Gujarat election this time to make a new record; More ticket seekers turning up is good sign: CR
October 28, 2022
Sidhpur: Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil today in reply to a media question said that more number of people seeking ticket to contest from BJP in upcoming State assembly election is good news for party. Patil made this observation in connection with huge number of cadres turning up to venues where party observers are sitting for selection of candidates. The primary selection process is being held across the State for all 182 assembly seats during 27-28-29 October.
“If the number of people seeking ticket to contest the election on behalf of BJP decreases in number, then it would be a matter of worry for us. But as possibilities of victory of BJP are more in upcoming polls, it is natural that more people are coming forward to seek party ticket. It’s their right, and it is positive sign for us,” said Patil.
In reply to other question pertaining to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal demanding image of Lakshmi and Ganesh on currency notes, Patil said, “I am worried about a thing. Every currency note has Mahatma Gandhi’s picture. Kejriwal has removed Gandhiji’s photos from Punjab govt office. We need to stay alert that he may wish to remove Mahatma Gandhi’s photo from currency notes as well.”
Patil in his address in a public meeting in Siddhpur said – his time, BJP and we all are fighting the election to make a new record. We are working with a pledge to win more seats and more votes than any party had won in the past in any of State assembly elections in Gujarat.
