Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Tuesday announced that all types of tax services will be available online from now on and that citizens won’t have to travel to civic tax offices for such services.

After a 4-year-long process, name or address corrections or changes of tax details can be made from your home, along with the payment of a property, vehicle, and professional taxes.

As per the announcement on the AMC website, citizens will have to fill out an e-form and upload documentary proof to make changes.

Jainik Vakil, chairman of the AMC’s revenue committee, said, “Our online application system has been upgraded recently, so citizens no longer have to visit our offices to apply.” If the applicant has trouble applying online, he or she can visit our civic centres and get assistance. You can now make any type of property tax application online. You must upload the required documents through the website.”
