Amdavad:  A total of 51,279 students received their degrees at the 71st annual convocation function of Gujarat University held at Shyamaprasad Hall in GU campus today.

A total of 27,562 students were conferred degrees by in commerce faculty. Among the students receiving degrees 9,777 were from the arts faculty and 6,723 from the science faculty.

The function was attended by governor Acharya Devvrat, minister of higher and technical education Rushikesh Patel, and MoS primary, secondary, adult and higher education, Praful Pansheriya. DeshGujarat
