Unseasonal rain in parts of Gujarat; further rains predicted, cold wave in Kutch

Gandhinagar: Unseasonal rainfall occurred at isolated places in districts of Gujarat namely Arvalli, Panchmahal, Kheda, Vadodara, Surat, and Bhavnagar. Some parts of Ahmedabad also witnessed light showers today morning.
Meteorological Department has released a forecast predicting unseasonal rain during this last weekend of January in the North and Central Gujarat region.
According to the weather bulletin from IMD, “Light rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in the district of Gujarat region namely Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara and Bharuch; in the district of Saurashtra namely Bhavnagar, Amreli, Rajkot, Surendranagar and Botad today.
On Sunday, 29th Jan, “Light rain very likely at isolated places in the district of North Gujarat region namely Sabarkantha and Aravalli. However, Cold wave conditions very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Kutch district.”
