Rajkot: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya paid a visit to the Jamnagar road-based AIIMS campus and reviewed the ongoing progress of construction of Gujarat’s first AIIMS which would benefit the entire Saurashtra and Kutch regions.

Mandaviya in a brief talk with media persons informed that efforts are on to make AIIMS fully functional from October-November this year. He said, while some departments of AIIMS are functional, some other departments are to be functional in the period of October-November this year. He said outdoor patients will get consultation for Rs. 10 while indoor patients will need to pay only Rs. 35 per day for bed charge. Jan Aushadhi store has been made functional for affordable cheaper medicines.

He said – We expect the inauguration of AIIMS in Rajkot by PM Narendrabhai Modi in the period of October-November this year.
