BJP leaders hit back as Congress insults PM Modi’s late Father

New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera insulted the father of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a press conference on Friday. While speaking, Khera referred to the Prime Minister’s father, Damodar Das, as Gautam Das.

Despite being corrected by a colleague, Khera went on to say that even though the name of PM’s father is Damodar Das, he is still working as Gautam Das.

The National Spokesperson of the BJP reacted to Pawan Khera’s statement and said “Even after worshipping the feet of ‘one family for a lifetime, if there is a shortage in ‘penance’, then on the orders of ‘family’ to complete the ‘penance’, using this abusive language for Prime Minister Modi and his late father Congress party Shows the real ‘walk, character and face’ of the congress party.”

Amit Malviya, In-charge of BJP’s National Information & Technology Dept reacted on the remarks of the congressman and said, “The Congress has repeatedly targeted PM Modi for his humble origins and now they haven’t even spared his dead father, who had nothing to do with politics… Congress’s deep seated sense of entitlement and disdain for a self made man doesn’t sit well with an aspirational India.”

Reacting to Khera’s remark, BJP Youth wing leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga tweeted, “Shame on the Congress for making fun of the late father of Prime Minister Modi. These people have stooped so low in their hatred for Modi ji that they are making fun of his deceased father, who was never involved in politics.”

This is not the first time that the Congress party has targeted PM Modi & his family. In December last year, during Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress Leader Shaktisinh Gohil had also made controversial remarks in reference to the family and the wife of PM Modi.
