Young man from Gujarat rescued from illegal confinement in Myanmar with Govt efforts

Gir Somnath: Gujarat police have successfully rescued a young man named Nirav Bamrotia of Talala in the Gir Somnath district who was illegally confined in Myanmar. Nirav went to Dubai for a job in a private company through an agent named Soham Pandya of Ahmedabad, and later he was promised a job in Thailand with another private company by a Dubai-based agent named Irfan. However, Irfan made a Myanmar visa in the name of Nirav and sent him to Myanmar instead of Thailand.

Nirav started working for a company called FENGQINGYANG COMPANY LIMITED in Yangon City, Myanmar, but he soon realized that he was being cheated. When he tried to leave, he was locked in a separate room with seven other youths, and he felt like he would never return to India. Nirav managed to call his father Jagmalbhai and requested help, and his father contacted the police.

Junagadh Range IGP Mayanksinh Chavda and Gir-Somnath Superintendent of Police Manoharsinh N Jadeja, PSI R.H. Maru of Talala police station, on the directions of Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, started a thorough investigation and were in constant touch with the Immigration Department of the Government of India and the Immigration Department of Myanmar.

All the relevant details regarding the incident, including the comprehensive profile of Nirav who was stranded in Myanmar, along with his passport, visa, and whereabouts in Yangon City, were shared with the Indian Immigration Department. Working in tandem with the Myanmar Immigration Department, the agencies successfully saved Nirav and the other individuals who were trapped with him and brought back to India.

Nirav’s mother had given up food and water during this entire incident, but she was overjoyed to see her son return home safely. Nirav’s father thanked the police, immigration department, and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi for their help. DeshGujarat
