Vadodara police nabs cow owner after death of elderly woman

Vadodara: The Police in Vadodara nabbed the owner of the stray cows that brutally attacked an elderly woman following which she died on Friday.
The cow owner, named Karan Muljibhai Rabari, was apprehended from the Varna area. Following the incident, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) had demolished the illegal cattle shed. The VMC has also disconnected the water and drainage connections to the house of the accused cow owner.
Standing committee chairman Hitendra Patel informed that the orders are given for taking strict actions against the accused cow owner and the appeal is made to the Police for strict actions against the accused including the actions under PASA.
Two cows had attacked an elderly woman at Panchratna society near Maneja in Vadodara on Friday when the woman was walking on the road. The woman died on the spot. Locals had gathered there after the incident and expressed anger over cattle-rearing activity in a nearby plot despite their protests in the past. DeshGujarat
