Bullets from Madana SRP camp hit a house during firing practice

Banaskantha: Three bullets fired by Madana SRP (State Reserve Police) camp jawans at the Dantiwada firing range reached a house located on a farm in Darbar Gadh.

The jawans of the BSF (Border Security Force), police, and SRP had gone to the firing range near the dam area in Dantiwada for firing after approval from the BSF.

On Thursday, three bullets suddenly entered a house made of cement sheets on a farm owned by Bhikhsinh Parbatsinh Vaghela. Similar incidents have occurred in the past, according to locals.

In 2020, a bullet from the same firing range injured a girl’s stomach, as stated by the former Sarpanch of Dantiwada village. A girl child was playing on the farm at the time of the incident in 2020. Surgeons had removed the bullet through surgery at Palanpur, and she had been taken to a hospital in Ahmedabad for further treatment due to an infection in her stomach after the operation. She survived after receiving further treatment.

Madana SRP camp DySP BM Chaudhary has stated that they changed the direction of the firing after learning about the incident. DeshGujarat
