Surat: Gujarat Postal Department has reduced post delivery time by 12 hours by using the sea route through Ghogha Hazira Ro-Ro service.
The postal department has begun using the Ghogha Hazira Ro-Ro service to transport posts from Saurashtra to Surat, resulting in a 12-hour reduction in delivery time. Post articles from Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, and Bhavnagar are among those delivered to Surat via the Ro-Ro ferry service. During the previous week, 30 tons of articles, including parcels and post articles, were transported via the Ro-Ro service.
Further, the postal department intends to utilize the service to deliver post articles from Rajkot and Gondal to Surat. It has also arranged a specialized sorting staff at Ghogha for this purpose. DeshGujarat
