April 12, 2023
Vadodara: A group of people gathered and created a chaos at Kuber Bhavan here in the city when a Hindu man and a Muslim woman, who had eloped a few days ago, arrived at the sub-registrar’s office to complete their marriage registration process.
A complaint had been filed at the Karjan police station about the woman’s disappearance. Her relatives in Vadodara knew that she was in a relationship with a Hindu man. Both the Hindu man and Muslim woman went missing a few days ago. When the relatives and others learned about the couple’s arrival at Kuber Bhavan, they gathered on the sixth floor. The Raopura police arrived to protect the couple, who were both adults and took them to the ninth floor. Several people from the group followed them to the ninth floor.
A team of district police also arrived on the sixth floor to take the woman’s statement regarding the complaint filed at the Karjan police station about her disappearance. The chaos continued until late in the evening at Kuber Bhavan. The woman was later sent to Nari Sanrakshan Gruh. DeshGujarat
