Panchmahal: Godhra police have booked one Mohammad Kasim for molesting a Hindu female co-passenger who was traveling to Godhra from Halol in a bus.
According to the complaint filed by the female from Godhra, the incident happened when the lights were off in the bus. She asked a fellow passenger (Kasim) to refrain from touching her body when she felt that he repeatedly touched her shoulders in the darkness, which led to an argument. Later, the accused repeatedly touched the part below her thighs with bad intentions. She asked another passenger to click photos of the accused’s behavior and send them to her husband, who she then asked to meet her at the Godhra bus-station.
The bus arrived at the Godhra bus station at 9.30 pm, and the female immediately called the police control room after stopping the accused passenger, Mohammad Yayman Kasim, who is 48 years old and resides in Rata plot, Vejalpur road, Godhra. The accused tried to flee but was stopped by a crowd that had gathered because of the woman’s screams. The female’s husband and other people caught the accused and took him to the police station.
