College student held for printing fake currency inspired by web series

Surendranagar: A college student was arrested in Wadhvan on Sunday for printing fake Rs 100 denomination notes. The accused was inspired by the web series ‘Farzi,’ to print counterfeit money to make a quick profit. Amid concerns regarding how crime, drugs, alcohol, smoking, same-sex relations,  etc are promoted in OTT web series, the incident is eye-catching.

The Special Operation Group (SOG) arrested Rahul Vadodaria, a 25-year-old third-year college student residing in Shiv Park Society in Wadhvan, for printing fake Rs 100 denomination notes.
