Electrification of Himmatnagar – Ahmeadbad railway track to start

Himmatnagar: Asarwa – Himmatnagar railway track will witness electrification work soon. A tender for this task has been issued according to which it will involve over Rs. 4 crore cost.
The Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway has estimated Rs. 4,01,56,664 expenditure for 25 KVAC sub-sectioning and parallel post design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the railway line connecting Asarwa in Ahmedabad and Himmatnagar in North Gujarat on Ahmedabad – Udaipur railway route. Once the electrification is completed, it will be possible to operate electric run trains on Ahmedabad – Udaipur route and beyond.
