ACB Gujarat Nabs Another Cop in Bribe Case

Himmatnagar: Another policeman was caught accepting a Rs 1,000 bribe during an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trap in Himmatnagar on Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Dilipbhai Babubhai Bodar, who is posted as a Head Constable at Himmatnagar Rural Police Station. According to the ACB, the accused demanded a bribe from the complainant in exchange for not detaining his tractor loaded with sand. Bodar allegedly demanded Rs 2,000 from the complainant in two instalments, of which Rs 1,000 was to be paid on Thursday.
Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the ACB. Based on the complaint, the ACB laid a trap at the RTO Rural Police Post near RTO Circle in Himmatnagar on September 3.
During the trap, Bodar allegedly accepted Rs 1,000 from the complainant and was caught on the spot. The entire bribe amount was recovered, and further legal action was initiated. DeshGujarat
