Gujarat govt plan to double the meal centers for laborers: Minister

Adalaj: The government is currently providing meals to labourers at 125 centres for a cost of Rs. 5, and plans to increase this number to 250 centres soon said State Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput. Rajput was speaking at Annapurna Trust in Adalaj, which has recently begun providing “shahi khichdi” for Rs. 5.
Narhari Amin, who is a Rajya Sabha MP and the President of Annapurna Trust, stated that the Trust is now providing high-quality food at a reasonable price. The Trust previously offered meals at Rs. 20 during the day and has now added Rs. 5 Khichdi in the evening, serving 600 people daily. DeshGujarat
