May 09, 2023
Ahmedabad: Electric vehicle-based cab services are likely to begin at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport in the city by the end of this year.
According to sources, talks are underway between a Delhi-based company, the airport operator, and regulatory agencies to introduce this service. The airport already has a fleet of EVs for passengers to move between terminals, as well as charging infrastructure. A fleet of 400 EVs is expected to be deployed at the airport by the end of 2023, providing an additional alternative for hassle-free transit to the airport.
A similar service is expected to be launched at the Mumbai airport which is also operated by Adani Airports. DeshGujarat
