Vietnam Airlines Launches Direct Ahmedabad-Hanoi Flight Service

Ahmedabad: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) in Ahmedabad has expanded its international connectivity with the launch of Vietnam Airlines’ direct service to Hanoi, marking the airline’s entry into Gujarat and making Ahmedabad its fifth passenger destination in India.

The inaugural flight departed from Ahmedabad on November 3, establishing a new direct air link between Gujarat and Vietnam.

The service will operate four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, offering travellers from Ahmedabad and neighbouring markets direct access to Hanoi and onward connections across Vietnam Airlines’ domestic and international network.

The new Ahmedabad-Hanoi route is expected to boost tourism, business travel and trade while strengthening Gujarat’s links with international markets.

H.E. Trinh Minh Manh, Ambassador of Vietnam to India, said the direct service was a welcome development in strengthening India-Vietnam connectivity.

“Improved air links will further boost tourism, trade, business exchanges and people-to-people ties, thus further strengthening the Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between our two countries,” he said.

Nguyen Trung Hieu, Vietnam Airlines’ Country Manager for India, said the launch reflected the airline’s continued commitment to the Indian market and its ambition to make Vietnam more accessible to Indian travellers.

“Gujarat offers considerable potential across leisure, business and MICE travel. This new route will provide travellers with a convenient direct connection to Hanoi, while enabling access to Vietnam’s diverse destinations and our wider international network,” he said. DeshGujarat
