Cricket betting scam exposed in Rajkot; QR codes on tea cups used for online gambling

Rajkot: Rajkot police today busted a scam of online cricket betting taking place in a private cafe ‘Tea Post’ here in the city, where customers were using QR codes to place bets.

It is learnt that QR codes were printed on tea cups, allowing users to scan the code and access the online betting platform.

The process involved customers scanning the QR code, which would open a link that displayed the WhatsApp logo on their mobile devices.
