Wearing short dresses prohibited in Dakor Temple
July 15, 2023
Kheda: A day after the Jagat Mandir in Dwarka, the Dakor Temple in Kheda district has also displayed a notice at its entrance, informing visitors that both men and women will not be allowed entry if they are wearing short dresses.
The Dakor Temple Trust has explained that this decision was taken in response to a long-standing demand. They kindly request all Vaishnav devotees visiting the Ranchod Rai temple to respect the dress code and refrain from entering while wearing attire that is considered too revealing. The temple trustee Pariendu Bhagat said that management is also working on arrangements for prospective devotees who arrive wearing inappropriate clothing to change into suitable attire.
Similarly, on Friday, the Dwarkadhish temple also implemented a dress code, urging devotees to wear clothing in accordance with Indian culture when entering the temple premises. In addition to these temples, restrictions on wearing short clothes have been imposed at the Ambaji Temple in Banaskantha and the Shamlaji Temple in Gujarat. DeshGujarat
