A gobar gas plant was installed about three to four months ago at Kadjodra village and Devkarn na Muvada village as a pilot project.

In Champapur which falls under Kadjodra village, two cattle rearers had installed gobar gas plants. Thanks to the subsidy given by the government, a cattle rearer could get Rs. 42,000 worth of plant for just Rs. 5,000.

However, on Tuesday, Bharatsinh Rumalsinh, a cattle rearer witnessed a blast in his gobar gas plant at around 5 pm. Bharatsinh said a balloon of gobar gas had gone flat following which he filled the air in it. A blast took place when it was half-filled.
