GSRTC announces bus fare hike after a gap of ten years

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has increased fares of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) buses by about 25 percent, it is learnt. It will be effective from midnight today. Fare hike in GSRTC buses is introduced after a gap of as long as 10 years.
Local buses – new fare per km 80 paisa (earlier 64 paisa)
Express buses – new fare per km 85 paisa (earlier 68 paisa)
Non AC and Sleeper coach buses – new fare per km 77 paisa (earlier 62 paisa)
