Women MLAs to get ₹1.25 cr extra for road development initiatives

Gandhinagar: The state government announced today that women Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) will receive an additional grant of Rs 1.25 crore for the fiscal year 2023-24, specifically dedicated to road-related development initiatives within their respective constituencies.
Currently, Gujarat MLAs are allocated Rs 1.50 crore for the execution of developmental projects in their constituencies. With this decision, the 12 female MLAs within the assembly will now have a combined total of Rs 2.75 crore available for their projects.
The decision came after women MLAs approached CM Patel, seeking supplementary grants to support road construction projects. DeshGujarat
