Two more AMC primary schools named after martyrs to honor their sacrifice

Ahmedabad: Two schools, run by the Primary Education Committee of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in the Nikol area of the city, have been named after martyrs to honour the sacrifice of these soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation.
Leelangar Gujarati School No. 2 has been named after the martyred Indian Army jawan Mahipalsinh Vala. He gave his life earlier this month during an exchange of fire with terrorists in the Kulgam area of Jammu and Kashmir. Vala is originally from Mojidad village in Surendranagar district and was a resident of Viratnagar in the Odhav area of the city.
The Leelanagar English Public School has been named after the martyred soldier Shashi Prabhakar Virendrasinh Rajput. He was killed in September 2005 during a confrontation with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the event at the primary schools today, Minister of State Jagdish Vishwakarma, Lok Sabha MP Hansmukh Patel, Mayor Kirit Pamar, and other officials of AMC were present. DeshGujarat
