PM Modi commends India’s first locally developed Kakrapar Atomic Power Plant-3 as it starts operating at full capacity

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated scientists and engineers for achieving another milestone as the first largest indigenous 700 MWe Kakrapar Nuclear Power Plant Unit-3 in Gujarat started operations at full capacity.

In a Twitter post, the Prime Minister said,“India achieves another milestone. The first largest indigenous 700 MWe Kakrapar Nuclear Power Plant Unit-3 in Gujarat starts operations at full capacity. Congratulations to  our scientists and engineers.”

Gujarat BJP Chief CR Patil today while talking to media today also commented on the occasion and said “A total Swadeshi 700 MW nuclear power plant has started functioning at full capacity in Kakrapar. PM Modi encourages, supports and helps our scientists and we keep on achieving successes like Chandrayaan-3 and Kakrapar.”
