Indigo Airlines hand over an unruly passenger of Mumbai – Ahmedabad flight to Police

Ahmedabad: A passenger in domestic flight of Indigo Airlines on Mumbai to Ahmedabad route was marked as unruly by crew members as he was drunk and carrying a sealed beer bottle. As per a complaint filed on behalf of Indigo Airlines by its security executive, the passenger who is resident of Navrangpura in Ahmedabad has been booked under prohibition act’s sections 66(1)(b), 85(1) and 65(a)(a).
A complainant Vrushik Chauhan is security executive officer of Indigo at Ahmedabad airport. He has in his complaint stated that on 1st September, Indigo flight 6E-6085 took off from Mumbai and reached Ahmedabad at 2.15 am.
Accused Akshay Natubhai Patel(34), resident of Chandroday Society near Sardar Patel stadium was found drunk inside the flight by crew members. More so, a sealed tin of beer was also found in his possession. Accordingly a crew member Puja filled an unruly passenger form and called police when the flight reached Ahmhedabad airport. Accused was handed over to police with a tin full of beer and unruly passenger form.
According to the complaint, strong smell of liquor was coming out from the accused. He had no permit to drink and travel and carry a liquor bottle which was Amstel Bier, born in Amsterdam, costing around Rs.150. Police have arrested the accused. DeshGujarat
