Lumpy virus surfaces in Mangrol taluka, 20 deaths; Vaccination drive launched

Surat: Over 40 members of 7 teams of veterinary doctors started vaccinating the cattle against lumpy virus in 30 villages of Mangrol taluka in Surat.
A calf has died due to lumpy disease in Amkhuta village of Mangrol taluka in latest. The teams of veterinary doctors have administered vaccines to around 7 thousand cattles of 30 villages of Mangrol including Kosamba, Pipodara, Dhamrod, Sava, Lindiyat, Shethi, Luhara, and so on.
The number of cattle deaths due to lumpy disease in Mangrol taluka has reached 20. The number of cattle infected with the disease is over 58 in Mangrol taluka. Three teams of veterinary doctors were already deployed in Mangrol taluka. Four more teams were deployed considering the increasing spread of the virus. DeshGujarat
