Anand: The police here uncovered an ongoing scam in a Visa Consultancy, where visa processes were being carried out with the help of bogus marksheets.
The Special Operation Group (SOG) of the police, during the raid at KC Overseas, confiscated around 20 fake marksheets and certificates of different universities. The police also seized a mobile, laptops, and items worth ₹15,000.
It is learned that the consultancy was sending people to foreign countries on a student visa by using the fake marksheets. The police have arrested the operator of KC Overseas, Swatiben Vineetkumar Mukeshbhai Soni (resident of Nadiad). During her interrogation, it was revealed that one Pawan Bharti (a resident of Vadodara) who used to run Shiv Education in the city provided her with the bogus marksheets. Acting on this information, the police also conducted an operation in Vadodara and apprehended him.
The court has granted the police a remand of 2 days, and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
