ACB Gujarat nabs head constable in bribery case in Umarpada

Surat: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has nabbed a head constable from Umarpada taluka here in a bribery case involving Rs. 50,000.
According to the details of the case, the accused, Prafulbhai Shankarbhai Patel, who works as the head constable in section-3 of the Umarpada police station, demanded a bribe of Rs. 50,000 for not revealing the name of the complainant in a prohibition crime case filed at Umarpada police station.
Since the complainant was not willing to pay the bribe, they contacted the ACB, which later executed a trap set up. During the trap, the accused was caught accepting the bribe in the parking area near the Umarpada police station. The accused has been detained, and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
