Only 16 talukas in Gujarat get over an inch of rain till 2 PM today

Gandhinagar: The state of Gujarat has been experiencing extremely heavy to heavy rains since last week, with today’s downpour particularly affecting the Kutch region. Rapar Taluka in Kutch received up to 4.6 inches of rain within 8 hours, from 6 am to 2 pm today.
Rainfall occurred in 158 talukas; however, it came as a sigh of relief for the people, as only 16 talukas received over 1 inch of rain as of 2 pm today.
The talukas that received over 3 inches of rain are namely Rapar (4.6), Maliya (3.5), Morbi (3), Halvad (3).
Jamnagar (2.8), Tankara (2.4), Porbandar (1.6), Chorasi (1.3), Bardoli (1.3), Navsari (1.3), Wankaner (1.3), Vav (1.2), Gandevi (1.1), Ranavav (1.1), Kamrej (1), and Kaprada (1) are the talukas that received rain ranging from over 1 inch to 3 inches.
Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, Porbandar, and Surat are the top five districts with the highest rainfall. DeshGujarat
