ACB Gujarat book Surat Police Inspector, Rajkot head constable in bribe case

Surat: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has booked Police Inspector of Vesu police station MC Vala in Surat along with the head constable Hitesh Ausura(Gadhvi) of ‘B’ division police station of Rajkot in bribe case that belongs to December 2020. Vala was police inspector of Kuvadva police station, while Gadhvi was constable in same police station when the alleged bribery crime took place.
According to ACB note, the accused had demanded Rs. 10 lakh bribe for not filing a case against a person. The final amount was fixed at Rs. 7.50 lakh. The accused constable played a role of middleman for the Inspector and received bribe. The person had already approached ACB. The case however has been filed today in this case on the basis of FSL and other evidences. DeshGujarat
