Two die of drowning during Ganesh Visarjan in Aaji dam; Video goes viral

Rajkot: Two persons, Mama and Bhanja by relation died in Aaji dam water during Ganesh Visarjan, while another person with them swam out and survived. Video of this tragedy has gone viral.

Six members of Bavaji family from Maninagar near Hudko chowkdi on Kothariya road had gone for Ganesh Visarjan at Aaji dam on fifth day of Ganesh Utsav. They were doing visarjan behind Mogal Mataji mandir in Aaji dam waters. As three members of the family went deep and deep inside with murti for visarjan, two of them suddenly went into further depth and started drowning while the third person survived by swimming out self.

Deceased are identified as Harshgiri Gosai(19) and his mama Rajvan Goswami(28)’s elder brother Ketanvan(33). When this incident happened, Ketanvan’s wife Pujaben, Rajvan’s wife Snehaben, mother Pushpaben were present outside the water.

A video captured by them has gone viral. Goswami brother own a battery shop on Kothariya dam. Deceased Ketanvan is survived by a daughter.DeshGujarat
