Gandhinagar youth loses money in attempt to buy tickets for India-Pak World Cup match

Gandhinagar: A youth living in Gandhinagar lost Rs 5250 in an online fraud by buying tickets for the Bharat vs. Pakistan cricket match.
A 22-year-old student named Raviteja Padma lives in the PDPU hostel in Raysan and studies at Pandit Dindayal Energy University. He and his friend Nil Patel went to Narendra Modi Stadium to inquire about buying tickets for the Bharat vs. Pakistan cricket match. Nil Patel saw a reel on his Instagram advertising the tickets for the match. Nil found that they sold tickets at a cost of Rs 3500 per ticket after he inquired about it. Raviteja and Nil told them that they wanted to buy six tickets. The unknown accused told them the price of six tickets was Rs 21 thousand. He accepted Rs. 5250 as an advance payment from Raviteja. The unknown person sent six ticket booking IDs and QR codes to him via email. The student found the QR code to be fake after scanning it. He filed a complaint at the cybercrime police station.
