Gujarati addition of Diamond Tycoon Govind Dholakia’s autobiography book launched

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, and Saint Shri Rameshbhai Ojha launched the Gujarati edition of the autobiography titled ‘Diamonds Are Forever, So Are Morals’ by leading businessman and Founder-Chairman of Shri Ramakrishna Exports Private Limited, Govindbhai Dholakia. Govindbhai Dholakia, Arjanbhai Dholakia, and other prominent figures from the fields of industry, literature, and politics were present at the event held at Raj Bhavan, Gandhinagar.

At the event, Governor Acharya Devvrat emphasized that while humanity has conquered many spheres, it has not conquered its own base instincts like lust, anger, greed, infatuation, and ego. Govindbhai Dholakia, who hails from a village background, has transformed his ordinary practices into a moral code. He grew up while raising cattle, studying at the village’s informal ‘Gali University,’ and through hard work and honesty, has earned the title of the ‘Diamond King.’ He exemplifies a harmonious blend of spirituality and material success, making Gujarat and India proud as a true Karma Yogi.

Gujaratis are leaders in philanthropy and inspiration; this is the unique feature of this land. To state this, the Governor said that Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi, the son of Gujarat, is the most popular leader in the world today. Men like Govindbhai Dholakia and Dhirubhai Ambani are an inspiration to the coming generations, and Swami Dayanand Saraswatiji, from whom I got inspiration, was also born in Gujarat.

Governor Devvrat also added, “What is in the heart should be in the speech, and what is in the speech should be the karma of a person. Shri Govindbhai Dholakia is living an ethical spiritual life and doing business with values and ideals. The autobiography of Mr. Govindbhai Dholakia, who lives a Sattvic and Nirvyas lifestyle, will continue to inspire the youth and generations to come. Wealth brings evil with itself, but Shri Govindbhai Dholakia has used wealth in the work of religion, virtue, charity, goodness, and poverty removal. Governor Shri Acharya Devvratji said that in the present time, the Dholakia family is making a wonderful vision of family unity.

Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel congratulated Govindbhai Dholakia on his book launch, highlighting that the autobiography, ‘Diamonds Are Forever, So Are Morals,’ encapsulates 40 to 50 years of valuable experiences. He anticipated that the book would serve as an enduring source of inspiration and moral guidance for future generations. Patel emphasized that Govindbhai’s emphasis on the consequences of actions aligns with the belief that karma is a continuous process, and greatness is achieved through one’s deeds.

The Chief Minister underscored the difference between personal success and collective success, citing the importance of moving forward together, as exemplified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Saun Saath, Saun Vikas, Saun Vishwas’ (Together, Growth, Trust for All). He praised Govindbhai Dholakia as someone who unites people and expressed his belief that the book would inspire future generations through its valuable life experiences.

Pujya Bhai Shri Rameshbhai Ojha, a narrator of the Bhagwat, described the significance of words, highlighting their connection with truth and the power they hold when used thoughtfully. He commended Govindbhai Dholakia for eloquently expressing his life’s experiences, both positive and negative, in his autobiography. Ojha believed that the book’s words would inspire today’s youth, who dream, work hard, and strive to achieve their goals.

In his address, Govindbhai Dholakia humbly shared that praising oneself is akin to death, emphasizing that he had not eulogized himself in his autobiography. He attributed his success and ethical approach to God, viewing work as a form of devotion and a means to help those in need. I have been writing my diary for 40 years every day. On the insistence of my personal friend and author of ‘Aganpankh’, Mr. Arun Tiwari, I sent those to him. Shri Arun Tiwari first wrote my autobiography in English from those diaries. As the Gujarati-translated version of ‘Diamonds Are Forever, So Are Morals’ is being released today, in the presence of special guests and dignitaries, I am feeling the significance of my life, Dholakia added.

The event, attended by notable figures including former Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani, Minister Mr. Raghavjibhai Patel, and other distinguished individuals, celebrated the release of the autobiography, which draws parallels between morality and diamonds. The book has received positive responses worldwide, with over 11,000 copies of the English edition sold since its launch in London, Surat, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Kochi.
