Netizens react strongly as Pakistan players welcomed with dancing at Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Welcoming of Pakistani cricketers with local Hindu girls dancing for them at Hyatt Regency hotel here has invoked strong responses on social media platforms. Lot of netizens have criticized the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) for this in strong words, while some have chosen to blame the hotel management for overdoing for the cricket team of an enemy nation when our soldiers died protecting the nation against Pakistan in Kashmir and elsewhere. Lot of netizens recall Balasaheb Thackeray who would not let happen cricket with Pakistan in India and for that, his cadres would even dig pitches in the stadiums. Netizens also point out that Indian Hindus are such a naïve people, no wonder they were ruled by foreign invaders for centuries, and no wonder why anti-Hindu political parties still get votes. India can never be Israel and will remain a soft state forever.

The World Cup match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for this Saturday, October 14. The Pakistan cricket team arrived in the city on Wednesday evening. Pakistani players were welcomed at the Hyatt Regency, with girls performing dances as they arrived. The video of this went viral after Pakistani Cricket’s official handle posted it.

It is noteworthy that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier informed the ICC that Pakistan was not willing to play in Ahmedabad, and the venue for their match should be anywhere but Ahmedabad. However, the ICC denied that request, and the match was scheduled at the world’s largest cricket ground, Narendra Modi Stadium, here in Motera.
