No holiday on Sardar Patel Jayanti: 9 schools in Rajkot get notice

Rajkot: The district education officer (DEO) in the city has issued a notice to nine schools for conducting classes on a public holiday. These schools were found operating on the public holiday marking Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary on October 31st.
The DEO has now sent notices to nine such schools, including Modi School, SNK School, Utkarsh School, Podar School, and K.G. Dholakiya School. The DEO has demanded a response from all the educational institutions regarding this issue.
It is noteworthy that the student wing of congress party NSUI had staged a protest against these schools on October 31st after learning that they were conducting classes on a public holiday. The schools were shut down that day immideatley and now the DEO has issued the notice. DeshGujarat
