So how’s the second day of unseasonal rain in Gujarat ?

Gandhinagar: So how’s the morning of the second day of unseasonal rain this November in Gujarat? The figures available from the State Emergency Operation Centre here reveal that the intensity and spread of unseasonal rain has significantly reduced Monday morning. During 6 to 12 am, only 24 Talukas received rain, among them only one – Kukarmundra in Tapi district received over one inch of rain which was 36 mm. Else at Navsari, Chikhli, Jalalpore, Lakhani, Subir, Nizar, Vapi, Amirgadh, Dang-Ahwa, Kwant, Tharad, Sagbara, Chorasi, Bardoli, Vijaynagar, Poshina, Palsana, Mandvi, Gandevi, Vyara, Valod and Dhanera experienced 1 to 200 mm rainfall.

Gujarat is by and large cloudy and the mixture of winter and unseasonal rain has resulted in a very cold atmosphere across the State.

As per the latest bulletin of IMD light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Surat, Tapi, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad,and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli and Bhavnagar today(Monday 8.30 am to Tuesday 8.30 am). Dry weather is very likely in the remaining districts of the region and in Diu.

IMD Gujarat Director Manorama Mohanti informed that the system bringing unseasonal rain has moved away and there’s no warning for today(27 Nov). However light rains will be experienced at isolated places with moderate rain as only a few places. Mohanti said the situation will normalize tomorrow.
