Ahmedabad: Is it safe to park your vehicle in the designated parking lot at Kalupur-based Ahmedabad railway station and take a journey?

Mahedrakumar Shah (60), a Shahibag-based textile trader, had the bitter experience of relying on a parking contractor.

On November 2, at 11 p.m., Shah left for Surat via train after parking his Access two-wheeler at Ahmedabad railway station’s designated parking lot number 02. He also received a receipt for the parked vehicle from the contractor’s man.

On November 4, at around 11 p.m., when he returned from Surat and looked for his parked vehicle, he couldn’t find it. He searched the entire parking area but didn’t find his Suzuki Access worth Rs. 30,000.

The parking contractor’s men assured him that they would find out the stolen two-wheeler, but they failed to deliver on the promise, following which Shah filed a late complaint at the railway police station at Kalupur. DeshGujarat
