December 22, 2023
Ahmedabad: City Police Commissioner GS Malik today issued a directive to crack down on drunk driving within the city limits.
As per the order, “If anyone is found driving under the influence of alcohol in the city, an FIR will be registered against them, and a reward of Rs 200 will be given to the police officer who files such a case.”
This new measure aims to enhance road safety and discourage individuals from risking lives by driving while intoxicated. It is also noteworthy that Gujarat is a dry state, and the consumption and sale of liquor are prohibited in the state. DeshGujarat
