Work on Dumas Sea Face Development Project set to commence on December 24

Surat: The work on long-awaited Dumas Sea Face Development will commence on December 24. Lok Sabha MP from Navsari and BJP state president C. R. Patil will lay the foundation stone for work on Package-1 in Zone-1 Urban Zone within the Dumas Sea Phase Project.

Zone-1 will be developed in two packages, with a total estimated cost of Rs. 206 crores for both Package-1 and Package-2. Currently, work on 10.32 hectares in Package-1 is set to start at a cost of Rs. 174.22 crore, following CRZ clearance. The deadline for completing Package-1 is 12 months, excluding monsoons, with a target completion date of April 2025. Work on the 2.54 hectares in Package-2 will commence in the future.

Package-1, starting from Sunday, will include multilevel parking, a kids’ play area, a bike rental station with a cycle track, a walkway, an urban beach, a sports area, an arrival plaza, and landscaping activities.

The Dumas Sea Face Development Project includes a modern amusement and eco-tourism park divided into four zones: Zone-1 Urban Zone, Zone-2 Public Space-Eco Zone, Zone 3 Forest-Eco Tourism and Wellness Facility, and Zone 4 Redevelopment of Dumas Port and Jetties.
