Himachal Pradesh gov arm SVJN Ltd to set up 100 MW solar power plant for GUVNL

Gandhinagar: Himachal Pradesh government run SVJN Ltd. will set up a 100 MW solar power project in Gujarat, as its wholly owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Ltd. has won Rs. 550 crore order by The Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd(GUVNL), through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
SVJN will set up a 100 MW project at Rs. 2.63 per unit on a build, own and operate basis anywhere in India. The project is expected to be commissioned within 18 months from signing the power purchase agreement, which shall be effective for a 25 years period. The project is expected to generate about 252 million units in the first year and the cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years shall be about 5,866 million units. DeshGujarat
