Ahmedabad: As the highly anticipated consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in the new Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya approaches, the seven flagpoles that were crafted in Ahmedabad are ready for transportation.
Shri Ambika Engineering Works, based in Gota, has made these flag poles (Dwaj Dands) along with other hardware for the 42 doors of the temple. Now, as the Pran Prathishta approaches, the transportation of the flagpoles will commence with a Shobha Yatra to be organized from Gota to Vaishnodevi Circle on Friday.
The proprietor of the 81-year-old firm, Bharat Mewada, told the media that 108 women will participate in the Shobha Yatra with ‘Kalash’ on their heads. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also be present at the event and will lead the Shobha Yatra along with several revered saints. Several organizations such as Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh will participate in the Shobha Yatra along with Vishwakarma Samaj.
It is noteworthy that the main pole of the temple has a weight of 5,500 kg and stands at a height of 44 feet with a diameter of 9 inches. Meanwhile, the other six flagpoles each weigh 750 kg and have a height of 20 feet. DeshGujarat
