Narmada: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, along with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, met AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava in jail today.

The meeting occurred at the Rajpipla district jail in Narmada, where Chaitar Vasava and his wife Shakuntalaben are currently detained on charges of threatening forest officers and firing rounds in the air.

Kejriwal also announced that Vasava would be the AAP’s candidate for the Bharuch Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming general elections. Vasava, an AAP MLA representing Dediapada, was arrested on December 14, 2023, in connection with allegations of threatening forest officers and discharging firearms while addressing issues related to the encroachment of forest land by local tribals in Narmada district.
