Gandhinagar: Over 1500 political leaders have joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party today. All these people donned the BJP saffron cap and scarf in the presence of the state party chief, CR Patil, at an event held at the state party headquarters, Shri Kamalam, in the state capital.

Many district and taluka-level Congress leaders joined the ruling dispensation today, including Indrajitsinh Thakor, former MLA from Mahudha seat; Dr. Vipul Patel, former Sabarkantha Congress President; Sudhirbhai Patel, former president of Yuvak Congress and Himmat Nagar Marketing Yard; Vinodbhai Chaudhary, former President of Kheralu Taluka Congress; and Jeetrandra Sinh Parmar of Congress and several others.

At the function, C R Patil, while talking about PM Modi, said, “We have received, for the first time in the country, a political leader whose words, whose guarantees hold value, and he is from Gujarat; that is a matter of pride for us.”

Patil said, “Two days ago, the whole environment was Rammay, not just in the country but all around the world as Hindus celebrated the pran pratishtha by bursting crackers, making rangolis, distributing prasad, and hosting bhandaras. It all shows that this was people’s expectation that Lord Ram’s mandir shall be made on Janmabhoomi. PM Modi fulfilled this expectation.”

“Yesterday, 5 lakh people visited Ayodhya even with such a cold wave, so imagine the amount of devotion in the people,” he added.

Welcoming the leaders into the BJP Patil stated, “We assure you that we will move forward together, and we will strengthen Gujarat and by strengthening Gujarat, we will strengthen the country.” DeshGujarat
