PM Narendrabhai Modi to dedicate/launch Rs. 4253 crore projects of 3 districts in Gujarat from Dwarka on Feb 25

Gandhinagar: On 25th February, Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi will dedicate and launch Rs. 4253 crore worth 11 development projects in Devbhumi Dwarka, Jamnagar and Porbandar districts. PM will dedicate his dream project Sudarshan Setu (Okha – Bet Dwarka bridge) during this visit.

In Dwarka district, 5 works shall be dedicated. Among them is Rs. 979 crore Okha – Bet Dwarka Sudarshan bridge which is 2.3 km long along with 2.45 km approach road and parking facility. This is a unique bridge with curved pylon.

Railway department has completed electrification on Rajkot – Okha and Rajkot – Jetalsar – Somnath and Jetalsar-Vansjaliya total 533 railway lines. This Rs. 676 crore project will be dedicated by PM Modi. Electrification will save diesel and make it possible to run electric trains on these routes. With completion of Rajkot – Okha railway line electrification, electric trains will be able to run upto Okha.

PM will also dedicate Rs. 1378 crore offshore pipelines (2) at Vadinar along with a buoy. He will dedicate waste land solar PV project of 12.5 MW capacity, set up at a cost of Rs. 52 crore near Chhattar in Kalavad taluka of Jamnagar district.

PM will perform ground breaking for 6 development works. Among them is widening of Dhoraji – Jamkandorna – Kalavad section of highway at a cost of Rs. 292 crore benefitting Jamnagar, Porbandar and Rajkot district. The other three projects are Rs. 107 crore gutter projects for Jamnagar city under which underground gutter network will be laid in Nadhedi area, Mahaprabhu bethak to Theba chokdi road and Gulabnagar over bridge to Purneshwar Mahadev main road. One more project is about sewage treatment plant based on SBR technology at Karmacharinagar area.

Ground breaking will also be performed for 10 are Rs. 100 crore Regional science centre at Jamnagar which shall have five theme galleries. It will also have an exhibition hall, children’s’ corner, workshop, cafeteria, office work stations and other facilities. PM will also break ground for installation of FGD system in Sikka thermal power station at Jamnagar worth Rs. 569 crore. This system will reduce sulfur dioxide emission. DeshGujarat
