The jetty construction was undertaken by the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) as a deposit work at a cost of Rs. 74 crore. Raksha Rajya Mantri Ajay Bhatt inaugurated the jetty in the presence of ICG Director General Rakesh Pal and others.
In addition to the ICG Jetty at Vadinar, ICG is also constructing a 100-metre jetty extension at Porbandar, a 200-metre jetty at Okha, and a 125-metre jetty at Mundra.
ICG Regional Headquarters (North West) was established on December 16, 2009, at Gandhinagar. It executes ICG’s mandated charter in the maritime zones of Gujarat, Daman, and Diu.
