Another Vasava fighting Lok Sabha polls from Bharuch; BAP gives ticket to Dilip Vasava

Bharuch: It’s a battle between three Vasavas on the Bharuch Lok Sabha seat, as veteran tribal leader Chhotu Vasava announced on Tuesday that his younger son, Dilip Vasava, will contest the general election from this seat on the ticket of the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP).

Meanwhile, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again nominated its incumbent MP, Mansukh Vasava. The Congress party, part of the opposition INDI alliance, has not fielded anyone; instead, the Aam Aadmi Party has given the ticket to Dedaipada MLA Chaitar Vasava.

Moreover, the fight is not only between these three parties, as Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) will also be fielding a candidate from the Bharuch Lok Sabha seat.

Chhotu Vasava founded the Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) in 2017, which is now inactive. His younger son, Dilip Vasava, has been actively involved in the BAP for some time and holds a key role within the party at the national level. Meanwhile, his elder son, Mahesh Vasava, formerly the president of BTP, recently joined the BJP. (DeshGujarat)
